Laura Duduleanu is a Romanian artist working predominantly with paper, each intervention obtained on its surface managing to preserve a touch of uniqueness, and thus the resulting incisions, textures and chromatic fusions becoming unrepeatable.
She has a BA in Graphics (2013), an MA in Advertising and Book Graphics, and a PhD in Visual Arts – all granted by the Faculty of Arts and Design from West University of Timișoara. The artist has exhibited her artworks in various galleries, independent art spaces and museums.
Her artworks embark the viewer on a journey that evolves simultaneously towards a dreamlike and a playful realm, but often remains anchored in the palpable reality of the surrounding world. All the species here meet some special selection criteria, perfectly in line with the ability, curiosity and the desire to make an impact and to highlight their importance, uniqueness, and grace. The transparency of the wings and the fragile joints of the flies, the iridescent bodies and the gloss of the plumage, the limitless variety of plant elements and the reflection on the beetles’ shells are details highlighted by the binding relationship between different technical processes masterfully executed.
The artist currently lives and works in Timișoara, Romania.
